Continuation of extensive oral training of structures and vocabulary of spoken intermediate Italian. The major difference between Italian 11A and 11B is in reading and oral assignments. The courses focus on specific topics (literature, fine arts, and current affairs) but also include different grammar topics. Course conducted primarily in Italian.

Intermediate French 3A is a continuation of FREN 2/2B. It includes in-depth review of French grammar and expansion of the five language skills (writing, reading, listening, speaking, and culture). It is designed to help students improve their communicative skills. The course is conducted in French and covers various interrogative structures, a review of the past tenses and determinatives. It will also provide the vocabulary necessary to discuss education, immigration and exile.
Second semester course with emphasis on vocabulary and grammar appropriate to the intermediate low level. Continued practice in speaking and understanding French. Continued practice of writing and reading French. Further introduction to Francophone cultures.
