Catalog Description

A digital photography course advancing the technical and creative concepts introduced in Beginning Photography. Topics include: Digital camera configurations, exposure control, workflow management, nondestructive editing, image manipulation and enhancement, archiving, printing options, and presentation. Discussions on visual literacy and contemporary photography as well as review of student work are integral.

Section Notes

This class requires in-person meetings and the use of Canvas. Class will meet in person on Wednesdays in the Photography Computer Lab VART 165. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using a computer and capable of running Adobe Lightroom Classic or accessed in the Some DSLR cameras, lenses, and iMac computer lab access with software are available for student use. PREREQ: PHOT 51 Recommended Preparation, PHOT 100 and (ESL 188 or readiness for college- level English)
